The Picnic Boat 45 is the most socially considered vessel Hinckley has ever built—crafted with a level of detail and precision that is unmistakably Hinckley. More space, more intention, more ways to gather. Powered by twin Volvo D11s and Hamilton HTX30 waterjets, guided by JetStick 4®, and finished with the craftsmanship that has defined American yachting for nearly a century. It doesn’t just carry you to the water. It gives you the water, on your terms.

DESIGNED FOR THE WAY YOU GATHER

The Picnic Boat 45 begins with a question: how do people actually spend their time on the water? The answer is built into every decision on deck. A central bar with stools anchors the cockpit as a natural gathering place. The forward-facing lounge puts guests at the bow, sharing the horizon. The wraparound settee, centered around a handcrafted teak table, draws everyone close. A cockpit sun lounge offers a quiet place to stretch out between swims.

The cockpit is offered in three configurations to suit the way you like to entertain. Choose a sun chaise to port for long, unhurried afternoons at anchor; a curved settee to port for the most generous seating arrangement on deck; or a grill to port for those who prefer their evenings with something on the grill and a view. Each layout is complete. Each is unmistakably Hinckley.

The captain is never separated from the experience. Clean sightlines to the helm keep them present in every moment. A companion helm chair deploys for the passage, then disappears at anchor — keeping the cockpit open and the flow uninterrupted.

Forward, a second lounge offers a quieter retreat — a place to step away from the crowd, take in the breeze, or gather in a smaller circle without leaving the boat behind. Below, two sleeping cabins and a well-appointed head make the 45 equally ready for a weekend passage.

YOUR PRIVATE SHORELINE

The stern of the Picnic Boat 45 is not an afterthought. It is a destination. Dockside, the raised grand staircase commands the moment. Guests step aboard elevated — framed, proportioned, welcomed. It turns cocktail hour into an arrival.

At anchor, everything shifts. The same structure that greets guests ashore becomes a swim cove — a submerged terrace where feet meet the water and the boundary between yacht and sea disappears. Entry is intuitive. Reboarding is graceful. The experience of moving between boat and ocean is exactly as it should be: effortless.

Elevated when it matters. Open when it counts. The platform delivers the waterfront — not as a feature, but as the defining experience of a day on the water.

03 The Freedom To Explore On Your Own Terms Scaled E1774508482149

THE FREEDOM TO EXPLORE ON YOUR OWN TERMS

Twin Volvo D11 725 HP common rail diesels. Dual Hamilton HTX30 waterjets. An estimated top speed of 40 knots and a projected cruise of 34. The numbers reflected deliver a choice: to be the most refined. Distance covered with authority. Motion that never disrupts the experience aboard.

Jet propulsion is what gives the 45 its range of freedom. No exposed running gear means a shallow draft and confident access to waters that turn conventional boats back. Coves come closer. Sandbars become destinations. At the dock, the response is immediate — the boat pivots, holds, and settles without drama.

Central to that confidence is JetStick 4® — Hinckley’s proprietary joystick maneuvering system. A single control translates the full authority of twin waterjets into precise, effortless movement. Docking, repositioning, holding station in a current — all of it becomes second nature, freeing the captain to be present for the people aboard.

At cruise, the ride is planted and composed. Acceleration is linear and smooth. Conversations continue. Glasses stay on the table. The motion of the boat supports the experience rather than competing with it. This is performance as Hinckley has always understood it: not separate from the time on the water, but the reason it can be fully shared.

04 Nearly A Century Uncompromising Craft Scaled E1774508459936

NEARLY A CENTURY OF UNCOMPROMISING CRAFT

Every Hinckley begins with a discipline: nothing is placed, chosen, or built without purpose. Proportion is studied before the first tool is lifted. What doesn’t belong is removed. What remains is intentional.

The hull is shaped and molded for integrity that endures — engineered for strength, built for decades. Carbon composites from bow to stern. Teak selected by hand. Joinery matched for continuous grain. Twelve coats of varnish on the toe rails — not for appearance alone, but because that’s the standard. Systems are integrated with forethought. Structures are quiet, solid, lasting.

This is how Hinckley has worked for nearly a century. Built to order. Tailored to its owner. Made in Maine by people who take pride in what they build. The Picnic Boat 45 carries that legacy forward — and is prepared to carry yours.

PRECISION, BY DESIGN

JetStick 4® is Hinckley’s proprietary maneuvering system — the most advanced iteration of a technology the company has refined across generations of boats. It translates the full authority of twin waterjets into a single, intuitive control, making precise movement in any condition a matter of intention rather than effort.

At anchor, Virtual Anchor holds your position anywhere in the world — no chain, no concern. Dockhold locks the boat in place at the dock so the captain can step off to secure lines with full confidence. G-Lock holds both position and heading, keeping the boat steady while you watch the start of a race or settle in for a sunset with guests. Integrated fly-by-wire dynamic steering communicates with precision hardware throughout, so every input — at speed or at rest — is clean, responsive, and certain.

The result is a captain who is more present, more confident, and more free to focus on the experience — and the people — aboard.
