Location overview
A Craftsman's Yard on the Tred Avon
Just inside the mouth of the Tred Avon River in Oxford, we care for sail and power yachts of every make, on 14 acres that include a wildlife sanctuary. From our protected basin, the Choptank River and the open Chesapeake are an easy run, with no bridges to clear.
Our greatest asset is the crew. Owners come to us for responsive mechanical work and Cummins expertise, world-class varnish and fine woodwork, paint, rigging, and the kind of early problem-spotting that saves a season. We're authorized across the major marine brands aboard your yacht.
From your first call, you work with Service Manager Christopher Hylton and a team who know your boat and coordinate the work, the dock, and the haul-and-launch. Instead of chasing separate conversations, you have a single point of contact from drop-off through completion.

Your Oxford Service Manager
Bachelor Point Service Team
From your first inquiry through arrival, service, storage, and completion, your Bachelor Point Service Manager coordinates the plan and stays your single point of contact.
Before You Arrive
Tell us the vessel details, the work you want, your current location, and timing. We plan everything before your boat ever reaches the yard. Let us know your arrival window so we can receive you.
Arrival and Handoff
We coordinate your slip and haul or launch timing through the office ahead of the handoff, so arrival day runs without surprises or delay.
While We Have Her
We coordinate the trades, approvals, access, and updates throughout, keeping one clear path through the work from the first day to the last.
Seasonal Timing
Plan storage, varnish, and larger work with us early. We stay busy late fall through spring, so late summer is the time to book big projects.
Owner feedback
What owners say after service
“I would like to see better knowledge if non-Hinckley branded boats sold by hinckley and why a price difference is worth while..”
“Tim Shields took care of the entire process from start to finish. He anticipated all questions and coordinated all the administrivia so I could just focus on the pleasure of joining the Hinckley family. I highly recommend Tim Shields to act as the mistro to anyone!”
“My wife purchased Hinckley "gear" for me for Christmas...I cannot wait to put it to use when our boat is commissioned in the spring!”
“I was very pleased (impressed!). Great communication with the service mgr (Steve) and your team, always proactive and responsive (even by email). They offered to take a pic of the launch if I couldn't attend! I was also touched by the respect and care provided to my humble sailboat, and how everything was made by crews who obviously know their boats: hauling, rigging had the touch of profesionals.”
“Much appreciation for Ian and Clint and the team.”
“Not a thing.”
