Mike Bickford

Mike found Hinckley some three decades ago, when he began his career as a boat carpenter in the Southwest Harbor boatyard. At the time, Hinckley’s sailboats were the ultimate yachts on the world’s waterways. That is, until the designers took a risk at building on perfection with a brand-new concept: the Picnic Boat. “I remember where I was standing when I saw the first Picnic Boat ever made,” remembers Mike. “I’d never seen anything so…Wow! And now I get to see that same reaction of awe in my customers. It never gets old.” Mike, known for his acumen as a technical problem solver, served most recently as general manager of the Chesapeake region, where he helped onboard Hinckley’s newest acquisitions, Bay Bridge Marina in Stevensville and Bachelor Point Marina in Oxford, Maryland. Mike and his family live in Easton, Maryland, where he is a nationally ranked Crossfit athlete, crushes the Wall Street Journal crossword, and is active in his church.
