STAMFORD, CT — Hinckley is proud to announce Ryan Blazevich as General Manager of its Stamford service yard. Ryan brings nearly three decades of leadership and general management experience in some of the most demanding operating environments in the world.
A career U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officer, Ryan has spent his career leading people, managing complex organizations, and building high-performing teams. His experience culminated in command of the USS Pinckney, a $2.1 billion guided missile destroyer, where he was responsible for a 330-person crew and every aspect of the ship’s operations—from people, training, and safety to maintenance, logistics, budgets, and operational readiness.
Throughout his career, Ryan has been recognized for his ability to lead teams, solve complex problems, and create a culture of accountability and collaboration. Following his Navy career, he continued in senior leadership roles in the defense industry, directing teams and managing highly complex programs and operations.
Ryan has now chosen to bring that leadership experience to an industry he knows and loves. He has complemented his extensive management background with hands-on marine systems training at IYRS School of Technology & Trades, giving him an even deeper appreciation for the skill, craftsmanship, and technical expertise behind the work performed every day in the yard.
“When someone brings their boat to us, they’re putting a lot of trust in our hands,” Ryan said. “They should know who is taking care of it, understand what’s happening, and feel confident in the work when they get back on the water. That’s the kind of experience I want us to deliver every time.”
As General Manager in Stamford, Ryan will focus on supporting the yard’s talented team, strengthening communication with customers, and ensuring every boat receives the care and attention expected from Hinckley. He looks forward to getting to know Stamford customers and becoming an active part of the local boating community.
