ADDITIONAL SPECS, EQUIPMENT AND INFORMATION
McCurdy & Rhodes
BLUE RIDGE was built for an experienced yachtsman with a great amount of attention to maximizing all stowage areas as well as installation of a small mechanical room with excellent access to the engine and mechanical systems. She sleeps 6 in her reverse-cycle air conditioned, varnished mahogany, dinette layout and features a larger navigation station. The boom and main sail are sized for the sloop rig for the SW42, providing more sail area than a traditional SW42 Yawl.
*At end of last season the engine displayed symptoms of a cracked cylinder head although engine ran well otherwise. The significant price reductions allows to buyer to repair engine (estimate of $3-5K if cracked cylinder head) or to replace with new engine (estimates for installation of a new Beta 60-hp or Yanmar 57-hp have been gotten for approximately $30K) and represents an incredible value for a Hinckley SW42.
