Additional Instructions for Using and Enjoying the Hinckley Wallpaper Images
General - Changing Display Settings:
- You may change your wallpaper settings by using a Control Panel Application that is built into your Windows operating system.
- On Windows 3.1, this application is called "Desktop", and is located within the "Main" folder of the Program Group, in the "Control Panels" folder.
- On Windows 95 and Windows NT, this application is named "Display", and can be accessed by pressing the right mouse button while the mouse cursor is postioned over the desktop, and then selecting "Properties" from the resulting popup Menu.
Images Do Not Fill The Screen:
- The screen saver images throughout the site are saved in 640 X 480 monitor resolution. If the image provided does not fit your screen, you will need to resize the viewing area on your monitor so that the image does fit. Use the above mentioned control panel to perform this task.
- If you have Microsoft's Plus! add-on for Windows 95, you can use a "stretch to Desktop" option to expand the image to your preferred display resolution. This method of sizing the images to your desktop will distort the wallpaper images severely.
Saving Additional Images For Your Collection:
When Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer set a browser image to be the desktop Wallpaper, these browsers copy the image to a "Netscape Wallpaper" and an "Internet Explorer Wallpaper" file, respectively. Unless you copy this file to a new location (file), the next time you set the Wallpaper from your browser, the old image will be lost
