MANUELLA has been launched each year since at least 2011. Prior to that was kept in storage and used only a couple of weeks in Maine. She’s never been chartered. Always had heated storage when on the hard, and professional maintenance.
“Manuella” was originally built by a Swiss national jeweler who appreciated “fine things”. This included the Bermuda 40’s lines and Hinckley’s craftsmanship and attention to detail. When he contracted to have Manuella built, it was his goal to have “the best of the best”. When she was being built, he flew his friend and architect up to Southwest Harbor, ME (from Geneva, Switzerland) on a monthly basis to ‘oversee” construction. Upon completion, Manuella was loaded into a shipping container, and shipped off to Switzerland, where she sat in fresh water on Lake Geneva for the first 20 years of her life. She was brought back to the USA where her current owner purchased her in 2001.
