Hull and Deck

Hull:

• Hand laid fiberglass hull with molded Scheel Keel and externally bolted lead ballast. The balanced rudder is protected by an integral fiberglass skeg.
• The top sides are painted with Interlux Perfection Oyster White (2014)
• Oiled teak rub rails capped with stainless steel chafe strip provide protection to the topsides.
• The bottom has been stripped and epoxy barrier coated. Fresh bottom paint May 2017

Deck

• Deck is one piece cored fiberglass structure with non skid surfaces.
• Deck painted and all deck hardware and portlights re-bedded in 2013 (Awlgrip).
• Custom stainless steel bow and stern rails and stanchions with opening gates port and starboard, all with double uncoated 1X19 stainless steel wire lifelines. (Lifelines replaced 2007).
• Custom stainless steel stem fitting with single anchor bracket and integrated fairlead chocks.
• Manual SL Anchorman vertical windlass with vertical rope and chain gypsy with optional separated gypsy for rope and chain.
• (2) 4” stainless steel cowl vents for dorades and ventilation and (2) 3” stainless steel cowl vents for forepeak and lazarette (inside of cowls powdercoated 2016).
• Whisker pole storage on deck and on mast.
• Teak toe rails, cabin top handrails, dorade boxes and companionway frame with dropboards.
• The cabin is well ventilated throughout with a large companionway hatch, 2 opening Bomar overhead hatches (Rebuilt with new lenses and gaskets 2013), and cowl ventilators.
• 9 ABI SS opening port lights (all with ABI insect screens).  All portlight glass and gaskets replaced 2006.
• A solar vent (new 2003) above galley) provides additional ventilation.
• Custom Harken main sheet traveler mounted over companionway seahood.

Cockpit

• Comfortable T- shaped cockpit with angled seat backs that are high enough to provide good back support.

• Cockpit seat hatches to access deep sail locker on port side and two shallower lazarette storage lockers port and starboard, aft.
• Winch pockets in coamings with stainless steel frames.
• (3) Wichard folding stainless steel padeyes for harness tethers in cockpit.
• Engine control panel with gauges in face under companionway.
• Engine controls mounted to port, in reach of tiller.
• Teak framed companionway with varnished companionway slides.

Accommodations

The interior is finished in Herreshoff style with  white bulkheads and oiled teak trim providing a light and open interior while the cabin sole, locker doors and table are varnished with a satin finish.  

Descending the companionway to starboard is a Nav station and quarter berth. The galley is to port. The main salon consists of an L shaped settee which pulls out to convert to a double berth. There is a fold down varnished teak table with an extension leaf and shelves behind the table on the bulkhead.  Forward of the main salon to port is the head with a large hanging locker opposite.  The forward cabin has a v-berth with removable filler to create double berth. Storage is in lockers throughout the boat.

• Opening stainless steel portlights in cabin sides provide excellent light and ventilation with removable screens (including one full spare set).  Portlights have laminated safety glass and replaced gaskets.
• Overhead hatches with translucent white frosted lenses provide additional light and airflow.
• Custom screens for the overhead hatches and companionway.
• Solid teak cabin sole with satin finish.
• Interior cushions replaced and covered with green Ultrasuede (2002).
• (5) ABI Chrome overhead dome lights.
• (1) ABI red/white chrome dome light at nav station.
• (2) Ocean Frigast stainless steel bulkhead mounted reading lights (replaced ABI).

Galley

• U-shaped galley to port with mica counter tops and teak fiddles.  The after leg of the U incorporates a deep top loading fridge with custom dish storage behind.  The forward leg contains the sink and a dry storage area and the middle of the U contains the stove/broiler with storage lockers outboard with sliding doors.
• Stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressure water,  a Whale faucet for foot pump water and a Seagull purifier/faucet for filtered water.
• Sea Frost cold plate refrigeration system.
• Force 10 two burner propane stove with broiler.
• Teak paper towel holder.
• Magma stacking stainless steel cookware.
• Stainless steel utensils for four.
• Misc plates, bowls, glasses, etc.

Head

• Formica counter with stainless steel round sink and Grohe hot/cold pressure water.
• Faucet pulls out for shower, and may be mounted on bulkhead during shower.
• Manual backup Whale foot pump faucet for cold fresh water.
• Storage locker outboard and below sink.
• Manual Raritan PHII toilet with Whale Y-valve and nauta holding tank.  All hoses were replaced with Sealand odor-free.
• Opening port for additional light and ventilation, and one deck dorade is above head.

Mechanical

• Original 18 h.p. Volvo was replaced with a Yanmar 3YM30 marine diesel engine with 1030 hours (2006).  Full 1000 hour service done in 2015, including new mixing elbow, rebuilt raw water pump, test injectors, clean heat exchanger and adjust valves.
• Stainless Steel 1” shaft (2006) with dripless shaft seal and drivesaver.
• 15” three bladed feathering Variprofile prop (2010).
• Racor fuel filter.
• Groco bronze raw water strainer.
• Shurflow fresh water pump.
• Seward stainless steel hot water heater, replaced when boat repowered and access was easy.
