Certified Mechanics

The Hinckley Company is seeking an experienced Marine Mechanic to perform basic mechanical and plumbing tasks for boat repairs, utilizing various power and hand-tools. Candidate will perform complex mechanical repairs, and installs, boat systems: jets, engines, plumbing, hydraulics system installations and repairs utilizing knowledge of HVAC and engines. Candidate will know or learn how to perform installation and repair of fixtures and equipment for mechanical service, plumbing and plumbing fixtures, and engines and jets, have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics. Will perform light maintenance of mechanical boat systems, runs fluid hoses, seacocks, fills and empties propane tanks. May also assist in the installation of intake and discharge fittings to provide water for plumbing and engine cooling. As well as place and secure plumbing fixtures/hoses (head, sinks) and refrigeration (ice box) and apply sealant and assist in the installation of other machinery such as motors, pumps, ventilating systems, and auxiliary systems. Candidate may work independently to complete projects and/or may lead a small work team to complete projects.
